Key Job Details – OBGYN RN Travel Contract

• Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350
• Healthcare Setting: OB Unit (14 beds, 11 nursery beds)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2470 - $2540
• Orientation: 12 hours of paid education and unit orientation

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum 1 year of OBGYN or OB nursing experience
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NRP certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Compliance with drug-free campus policies and ability to pass a drug screen
• Professional scrubs required

OBGYN RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care for patients with preeclampsia and those on Magnesium
• Manage laboring patients and provide postpartum nursing care
• Care for newborns and assist with deliveries as needed
• Utilize Obix central fetal monitoring and Epic (Stork) for electronic charting
• Follow AWONN staffing guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Participate in 12-hour orientation and ongoing unit-specific training
• Adapt to floating requirements as needed during the travel nurse assignment
