AVP- Business Development / Captive Insurance

OverviewP art of Artex Risk ( the AVP-Business Development will develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients and assigned prospects in identified sectors or market area. They will develop and maintain a distribution of broker partners.
How you'll make an impact- Provide expertise in alternative risk products to broker partners and both mid-market and large accounts.
- Identify client needs and develop custom solutions.
- Client-facing with a track record of working effectively with decision-makers within clients.
- Establish and develop emerging relationships with economic buyers of varying complexity.
- Provide technical competency to create innovative solutions.
- Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally.
- Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written)
- Communicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations.
- Communicate and capture the value that Artex brings to clients.
- Demonstrate new business production abilities as well as a seasoned new business production history.
- Ability to generate $500,000 or greater in new business revenue.
Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years experience. Appropriate insurance licensing required.
Preferred:- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of proven experience.
- 3+ years of experience in selling alternative risk products.
- Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and our products and services.
- Experience within the insurance industry preferred.
- Demonstrated capability to adhere to and champion the sales process.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
