Building Services Contractor conducting janitorial business in Chicagoland since 1971. ISSA CIMS Certified. Currently servicing Commercial Office, Special Event Buildings, Museums, Education, HOA, and Medical Office properties with over 400 team members.
Job Description
Lead a team of 20+ team members that include shift supervisors, shift leads, and team members over 3 shifts. Reporting directly to Company EVP. Secondary reporting to Operations Support & Field Manager.
Job Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) plus years of leadership in janitorial or other related building services field in a high-profile / high-paced environment. Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of maintaining a lighthearted, yet focused work culture. Friendly, empathetic nature with abilities to multi-task and handle periods of high stress and chaotic environments.
- Have critical eye on high level cleaning expectations.
- Solid understanding of forecast scheduling based on property needs / special events and other considerations. Schedules are held in Google Calendars and Excel.
- Ability to use and understand computer programs and apps which are necessary for daily operations.
- Bi-Lingual with strong command of English and Spanish. Ability to communicate fluently both in writing and verbally.
- Understanding how janitorial tools/equipment work or the ability and willingness to learn and gain understanding quickly.
- Proven track record of understanding and adhering to labor and supply budgets.
Job Expectations
- Walking - Ability to be on your feet for long hours per day. 75% of the day is spent on the field touring, supporting, training, and inspecting. 25% is administrative/desk work.
- Payroll & timekeeping support and compliance enforcement
- Adhering to and enforcing all Building Companies and Company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Corrective action and discipline as warranted by team members and as maybe directed by Company HR or Company leadership.
- Weekly meetings with Company leadership and multiple department meetings with building managers, Company EVP, and heads/teams
- Creating and maintaining schedules both staff and projects with a 3-week advance notice.
- Job site inspections using Company App.
- Supply Ordering & Mailing Inventory Records.
- Maintain equipment preventative maintenance & repair,
- Interviewing, initiation, and training of new hires.
- Work closely and maintain strong relationships with other building department heads.
- Assist and be onsite during high profile events as required to support team.
- Ability to respond accordingly to emergencies as they arise.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
