Teacher Coordinator
Sylvan is currently hiring for a Teacher Coordinator, with hours ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week, at our Lake Zurich/Barrington, IL and Schaumburg locations! We are seeking a certified teacher for an in-person role, which includes Teaching and Teacher Coordinator responsibilities, for students K-12. Benefits:

- 2 years teaching or tutoring experience preferred

- Direct and motivate students during instruction
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task
- Reward students for successful work
- Evaluate and document student progress
- Communicate student needs to our Educational Team
- Summarize student progress for our Full-time team to meet with parents
- Develop rapport with students and establish a fun, engaging learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and Sylvan
- Execute administrative tasks that support our educational mission
- We are the industry leaders in providing supplemental education to children in pre-K through 12th grade
- We provide individualized instruction in Comprehension, Reading, English, Writing, Math and Study Skills.
- We also offer Homework Support, ACT/SAT Test Prep, and STEM
- Given the pandemic, we are seeing growing needs for tutoring
- We teach 7 days per week
