Environmental Estimator

Estimator – Environmental Services (Remote – South Chicago Area)

Salary: $85,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Sign on bonus:   $8,000 - 12,000

Bonus: Biannual performance-based bonuses (July & November)
Location: Remote – Greater South Chicago Area

At Bluestone Environmental Group, Inc. , we’re growing our field operations team and seeking an Estimator who thrives on autonomy, thrives in the field, and loves building relationships as much as crunching numbers. This is a high-impact role that combines technical site evaluations with client-facing outreach. You’ll be the face of Bluestone across the South Chicago area—meeting customers, preparing fast-turn estimates, and helping our company grow through strong community partnerships.

What You’ll Do

•   Travel daily throughout the Chicagoland region (within a 100-mile radius) to perform 4 on-site estimates per day

•   Draft and deliver proposals the same day using Microsoft Word (submitted in PDF format)

•   Assess job sites , interpret residential and light commercial building systems, and calculate labor, materials, permits, and project scope for environmental abatement services

•   Develop relationships with local contractors (e.g., flooring companies, HVAC technicians) to generate referral leads

•  Stay informed on federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance standards

•  Occasionally provide office coverage and participate in monthly team meetings at our local office

• Some level of Business Development

What You Bring to the Table

•  Minimum 2 years of sales or field-based customer-facing experience

•  Familiarity with residential construction , building systems , or environmental services strongly preferred

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•  Highly organized, self-motivated , and dependable

•  Must have a reliable personal vehicle , valid Illinois driver’s license , and willingness to travel locally

• Associate degree or two years of college required; coursework in construction management or architecture is a plus
