The University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana Champaign is one of the oldest law schools in the country, with an accomplished and influential faculty, a smart and collegial student body, and a strong alumni network. In addition to its full-time faculty, the College of Law regularly employs distinguished lawyers and academics as adjunct professors. The College of Law is currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty with a particular need for the following specialty:

1)Securities Law

Classes will meet in the Law Building in Champaign, typically once or twice per week between mid-August and early December.

A JD and two or more years of legal experience are required; prior teaching experience and a current law license are strongly preferred.

Appointment Information:
This is a five to ten percent Academic position appointed for the Fall 2026 semester. The anticipated start date is in August 2026. Salary is between $3000 and $8000, depending on credit hours. This position is not eligible for University benefits. This position is eligible for sponsorship for work authorization, except for sponsorship of a new H1B petition that would incur the $100,000 fee.
