Maintenance Coordinator - Stock Yards
1st shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (OT)
Stock Yards Facility - Aurora, IL
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the central coordinator for all warehouse maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements.
- Create, manage, and update maintenance work orders, logs, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Prioritize maintenance needs based on operational impact, safety requirements, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to schedule repairs, inspections, and service activities.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
- Ensure all maintenance work follows OSHA, company safety policies, and regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, recommending corrective actions, and assisting with equipment lifecycle planning
- Communicate maintenance updates, equipment downtime, and completion timelines to warehouse leadership and relevant stakeholders.

• Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with managers, employees, customers, and vendors at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• The work will take place at a desk in an office environment but will require work in normal production or warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
• Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
• Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• One-year clerical experience
