Precision Instruments is a manufacturer of torque tools and control systems for the automotive, energy and industrial customers worldwide for over 80 years. As a third-generation family business, we take pride in products and our employees.
We are looking for Assemblers who are willing to learn, motivated and work well in a fast-paced environment for our Des Plaines, IL facility.
Job Summary: The torque wrench assembler assembles, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms. To be successful in this role you must be able to perform the job duties below satisfactorily with a positive attitude.
** Willing to train, but some Assembly experience preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The torque wrench assembler, assembles, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs, as necessary.
- Ability to transition to other departments as needed for business needs and cross training
Job Requirements:
- Some Assembly experience, preferred
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Mechanically inclined and interests
- Works well in a team environment
- Must be physically capable of lifting to 25 lbs., with proper lifting technique
- Positive attitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent
