Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Project Supervisor to join our team at a large food distribution center in Minooka, IL. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance projects, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting daily facility operations in a fast-paced distribution center (DC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food distribution and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects from planning through completion
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs for facility equipment
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety standards and regulations
• Lead, train, and support maintenance team members
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food distribution center (DC) environment required
• Strong background in maintenance, facilities, or project supervision
• Experience working with conveyor systems, warehouse equipment, or automation preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards (FDA, USDA, GMPs)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in a high-volume distribution center
• Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
