Lab Assistant

We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team and support the daily operations within our lab. This role is ideal for individuals interested in starting their career in the laboratory field, particularly in the oil analysis sector.

Responsibilities

• Receive and organize lab samples.

• Break down sample boxes and sort laboratory samples.

• Assist the team in logging samples.

• Perform general lab preparation work.

• Pour and weigh samples accurately.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of lab safety protocols.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Capability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Work Environment

The lab assistant will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The environment includes both a routine lab and a client-specific metalworking fluid lab. The lab team consists of approximately 15 members, and this position will contribute to the routine lab operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
