Imagine This ScenarioA unit fails final inspection. You quickly interpret the wiring diagram, validate tolerance stack-ups using GD&T principles, and isolate a mis-terminated lead in an electronic subassembly. You document the root cause, roll out a corrective action, train the team on the update, and watch quality metrics tick upward. That’s the kind of impact you’ll make here—every day.
Your Mission- Surface and prioritize quality concerns through daily discussions with line leaders.
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions that stick.
- Own quality reporting—track and communicate key measures and Cost of Quality (COQ).
- Level up knowledge on the floor by facilitating targeted training.
- Support and occasionally lead problem-solving teams using structured methods.
- Translate technical intent—read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, specs, work orders, and reports.
- Inspect electro-mechanical subassemblies, final assemblies, electronic systems, and support structures with appropriate tools (calipers, levels, wire strippers, signal generators, drills, etc.).
- Recommend repairs, adjustments, or part replacements; operate special tooling and lifting devices safely.
- Partner with supervisors and engineers to resolve production issues quickly.
- Execute visual inspections; troubleshoot efficiency and effectiveness challenges.
- Cross-train across processes and assist where needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years in electro-mechanical assembly within a quality function strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Fluency in reading electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and work orders
- Awareness of fabrication and welding practices
- Hands-on skill with standard hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measures, pliers, calipers, levels, etc.)
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Preferred: certifications in inspection, auditing, engineering, or related disciplines
- Clear communicator; agile multitasker; team-first mindset balanced with independence
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
