The Law Offices of Matthew M. Fakhoury and Xpunge Chicago are a growing criminal defense and expungement firm serving clients throughout the Chicagoland area. We are committed to providing skilled, client-focused representation in criminal matters and expungements.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Attorney to join our team. This position requires regular court appearances in surrounding counties and offers hands-on experience handling a variety of criminal defense matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court for hearings, motions, and trials
- Manage a full caseload from intake through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Communicate with clients and negotiate with prosecutors
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on case strategy
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois and admitted to the Illinois Bar in good standing
- 2–3 years of criminal law experience preferred
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Experience with the Clio case management system is a plus, but not required
