Pay: $20.50/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential Total 2nd‑Shift Rate: $21.50/hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift (exact hours can be listed if desired) Classification: Full‑Time | Hourly | Non‑Exempt Reports To: Site Manager

Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring automated paper‑converting equipment to produce roll and sheet products used in large/wide‑format paper applications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Information

• Starting base rate: $20.50/hour
• 2nd‑shift differential: $1.00/hour
• Total hourly rate for 2nd shift: $21.50/hour
• Shift differential applies only to hours worked on 2nd shift and is subject to company policy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Start machines and adjust controls to regulate and synchronize machine operations
• Load paper rolls onto machine feed tracks
• Measure, space, and set cutters according to product specifications
• Monitor machine operations to detect and correct issues such as improper cutting
• Inspect finished products to verify quality and conformance to work orders
• Make adjustments to machinery as needed
• Bag and box finished product at the end of the production line
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Required Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 1 year of recent machine operation experience
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a basic math and measurement test
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a background check

• Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materials
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed

• Up to 10 lbs – frequently
• Up to 25 lbs – frequently
• Up to 50 lbs – frequently

Vision Requirements

• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
• Ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses)

Work Environment

• Non‑climate‑controlled warehouse
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, vibration, and forklift traffic
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, heat, and humidity

Heat‑Related Expectations Employees must be able to work safely in warm conditions while following heat‑illness prevention practices, including hydration, rest breaks, and early reporting of symptoms.
