Metalex LLC is looking for a Production Supervisor for our Libertyville facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role involves coordinating personnel, managing workflow, maintaining equipment readiness, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of stamping processes, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Leadership & Management

• Lead, motivate, train, and assess department employees.
• Administer company rules, regulations, and the disciplinary policy.
• Determine the necessary resources, including workforce and raw materials.
• Assign and direct work for both permanent and temporary employees.
• Work with production schedulers to ensure optimal product flow and 100% on-time delivery.

Operations & Production

• Monitor and manage all production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and timeliness criteria.
• Ensure all production meets ISO quality standards and bring any quality issues to the immediate attention of the Quality Team.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, production control, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and performance management.
• Possess a comprehensive knowledge of all jobs, operations, and machines within the department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to build a high-performing workforce.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits and meetings.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing).
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Position Requirements

• 5+ years in Manufacturing Environments.
• 3+ years’ experience in fast-paced production operations and management, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
• 1+ years’ experience as a leader/manager.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations methods and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and Spanish is preferable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
• Strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Responsible, ethical, honest, positive, upbeat, and approachable.
