Project Manager
Compensation: $55 hr

Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Extensions Possible) Our client in the healthcare sector is preparing for increased M&A activity in the upcoming year and is seeking a Project Manager with M&A experience to support deal execution and integration efforts. This role will act as a dedicated resource for merger and acquisition work and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and support initiatives across the full M&A deal lifecycle: sourcing, due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger integration (PMI).
- Develop project plans, milestones, and reporting to keep leadership aligned.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful coordination across workstreams.
- Support financial analysis activities, including synergy modeling, valuation basics, and cost/benefit assessments.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively driving solutions with limited oversight.
- Operate effectively in a lightly structured PMO environment—comfortable seeking information and navigating ambiguity.
- Assist with additional strategic or operational projects during peak activity periods.
- Strong, proven project management experience.
- Direct experience supporting M&A projects and understanding of the deal lifecycle.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation fundamentals, and synergy/cost-benefit modeling.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Bannockburn, IL 3 days per week.
