Homecare LPN Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL 61615 – Central Illinois healthcare jobs in a welcoming community with scenic riverfront and thriving arts and dining.
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel LPN position)
• Healthcare Setting: Homecare / Home Health
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 8-hour days (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM), with some evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours as needed
• Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week (excluding orientation)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1500–$1540

LPN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Illinois
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent LPN or nursing experience (home health or homecare experience preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required for home visits
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
• Proficiency with medical equipment and Point of Care devices
• Willingness to take night and weekend calls, and make patient home visits as needed
• Must pass comprehensive drug screening (drug-free campus)

LPN Homecare Responsibilities

• Deliver treatments, procedures, and basic patient care under physician orders and RN supervision
• Provide age-appropriate care to home health patients
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team for effective patient care
• Participate in the nursing process and contribute to care planning with the RN
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and services
• Follow all laws and safety recommendations for driving during home visits
• Demonstrate commitment to the mission, values, and philosophy of the healthcare organization
