School Social Worker - $50/hr - Chicago, IL - In-Person - 16 WeeksPosition Overview:

The School Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to support students requiring social-emotional and behavioral intervention within the school setting. This role includes contributing to IHP/IEP development, delivering direct social work services, and assisting students experiencing emotional disabilities, trauma, and other high-needs challenges.

Assignment Details:

Location: Chicago, IL

Start Date: 03/01/2026

End Date: Approximately 16 weeks (through end of school year)

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $50/hour

Modality: In-person

Openings: 1 position

Details of Assignment:

• Grade levels: Middle and High School

• Caseload: Students with emotional disabilities and trauma-related needs

• Setting: Assigned to one campus location

• Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (paid breaks)

• Requires ability to provide consistent social-emotional support, crisis response, and collaboration with instructional staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver school-based social work services aligned with IHP/IEP goals

• Conduct student assessments and contribute to educational planning

• Provide crisis-intervention and trauma-responsive support

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address behavioral and emotional needs

• Maintain accurate documentation following ethical and professional standards

• Support students individually and in small-group settings

Requirements:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement

• MSW or LCSW may be required depending on state or contract guidelines

• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

• CPR certification if applicable

• TB screening and health certificate per state requirements

• Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations

• Must be at least 18 years of age
