The Mission As the 1st Operator, you are the captain of the press. You don't just run machines; you ensure every sheet that hits the pallet is a masterpiece of color and precision.

• Take Command: Lead the press team through high-efficiency runs and complex make-readies.

• Precision Quality: Monitor color, register, and type, making real-time adjustments to maintain perfection.

• Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot mechanical issues on the fly and manage CPC (Color Printer Control) systems.

• Drive Results: Maintain production logs, track quality graphs, and keep the operation lean and mean.

What You Bring to the Floor

• The Experience: Proven track record as a Feeder/Operator and Second Pressman.

• The Mindset: A "safety-first" attitude with a relentless drive for quality.

• The Muscle: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently (and more with a team), handle ink buckets, and move pallets with a hand truck.

• The Vision: Sharp color vision and the ability to spot minute variances in print quality.

• Communication: Fluent in English (read/write) with solid basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall quality of printed sheets. Pressman selects random sheets from each load and checks that they have appropriate color, register, type and are void of unnecessary markings.
• When problems are encountered, pressman is to determine cause and adjust press to correct error.
• Pressman responsible for removing full pallets from press with hand truck and placing a new pallet on press.
• Must maintain written records of production and quality. Records include production time, amount produced, time wasted on corrections and waiting for materials and number of defective materials. Records of color quality are also recorded and graphed.
• Responsible for performing duties of second pressman or feeder when needed in order to keep press running.
• Responsible for press make-ready (adjust press to accommodate for new printing job to be done). (Refer to manual on quick change over procedure).
• Must assist second pressman and feeder with monthly cleaning of press. Press is thoroughly cleaned, oiled and greased. Rollers are changed if necessary
