Sales Leader - Chicago
We are seeking a Sales Leader to join our team as we work toward a better tomorrow.
Your Role
As a Sales Leader, your mission is to drive sustainable growth within your assigned region by leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales organization. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring consistent execution of sales initiatives that align with business objectives.
Your success will be measured by your ability to inspire and develop talent, deliver results through disciplined sales management, and create value for customers. You will own regional sales strategy, territory planning, pipeline management, and forecasting. You will actively monitor market trends, challenge the status quo, and promote innovative approaches to meet evolving customer needs. This role reports to senior commercial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed Business Plan objectives.
- Establish regional sales strategies, territory plans, and account priorities aligned with company goals.
- Drive growth across equipment, services, and aftermarket offerings, including rotary compressors, reciprocating compressors, accessories, and service solutions.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and channel partners.
- Support and expand the local sub-distribution and partner network.
- Ensure consistent opportunity management, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline discipline across the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, service, operations, and other commercial teams to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Review and approve quotes, contracts, and orders while maintaining strong governance of the post-sales process.
- Oversee the use of CRM, CPQ, and ERP systems to drive visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Provide ongoing feedback to sales and marketing teams regarding market conditions, competitive activity, and customer insights.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, territory reviews, and business updates with the sales team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Travel regularly within the assigned region and domestically as required.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in the compressed air industry or a related industrial equipment environment, including proven sales leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing sales teams and driving profitable growth.
- A bachelor’s degree (preferred) in business, management, engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- A customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance short-term results and long-term value creation.
- Confidence in taking calculated risks while managing complexity and change.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.

This is a remote leadership position with responsibility for a dedicated region based in Chicago, IL .
