Position Overview
UC Group is looking for a results-oriented Sales Executive, with a hunter mentality. This role will target new business development, primarily targeting growth for our in-house brokerage, with an additional target to grow our retail LTL consolidation sector. This role will be charged with establishing new relationships and opportunities to generate revenue growth. If you are a problem solver of client pain-points and you develop sales strategies to alleviate them, then this opportunity is for you.
What will you be responsible for?
You will lead the sales effort coordinating new business development, while working internally with operations and pricing. You will be responsible for developing and executing action plans that will lead to new business. You will prospect and understand the business challenges of today within the logistics sector and build upon opportunities that align not only with immediate revenue, but mid and long term as well.

Your Experience Includes:
- A minimum of 5 years Brokerage/retail LTL Sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- New business prospecting skills that deliver short, mid & long term.
- Fiscal management and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborating with a team first mentality.
- Existing book of business ideal.
- Experience using Salesforce and other related technologies.
- Must have experience within supply chain logistics/transportation.

Job Summary
Hunter mentality, responsible for sourcing and securing business for our inhouse
brokerage from new and existing customers. This includes targeting new
opportunities, daily conversations about freight lanes and requirements with
clients, extending rates from our pricing teams and introducing the various
logistics solutions the company has to offer. Adding new customers and growing
current accounts from an LTL and TL perspective is an essential.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain customers for TL and LTL business.
Prospect for leads to build a sales pipeline.
Manage existing accounts to retain existing relationships and grow wallet
share.
Consistently identify business opportunities and land RFPs related to
company service offerings.
Create and present sales presentations proposals for company services
Work independently to generate new sales revenue.
Translate opportunities into incremental re-occurring
Consistently meet or exceed goals set by senior management and prepare
reports when required.
Be the primary contact for our customers and be responsible for managing
the personal relationship between the customer and our company.
Have a hunter mentality, strong communication skills, and previous
customer service or sales experience a big plus
Qualifications:
3+ years experience within logistics, supply chain or a related field.
Entrepreneurial attitude and confident when working independently
Ability to develop long term relationships
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly
Adaptable to the changing needs of clients and the logistics environment
Effective follow-up skills
Experience with Salesforce preferred.
