CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Lake Forest, IL 60045 (Chicago North Suburbs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Services
• Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Contract
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 17:30)
• On-Call: Yes (typically one weekend per month)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3000-$3080

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience in an active interventional radiology lab (IR, EP lab, or similar)
• 2+ years of experience in cath lab or interventional radiology preferred
• Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required
• ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
• IEMA Licensure (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Cardiac cath lab experience is essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular procedures: PTCA, coronary stenting, IABP placement, pacemaker insertion, atherectomy, IVUS, thrombectomy, FFR/Pressure Wire, and arterial/venous sheath management
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions considered for COVID-19 only)
• Active Illinois radiology license required prior to start

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with advanced cardiac and interventional radiology procedures in a hospital setting
• Set up and operate specialized diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety during all radiology procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, respiratory, and rapid response units
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend radiology coverage as required
• Accurately document procedures and patient care using hospital charting systems
• Support patient care for adult and geriatric populations
• Float between facilities within the Illinois health system as needed
