Civil Project Manager | Transportation
Project Manager | Transportation | Civil Engineering | IDOT | PE License
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Transportation to lead and manage complex projects in roadway design and civil engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient design solutions that meet client expectations and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of transportation projects, including roadway design and civil engineering tasks.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and compliance with IDOT regulations.
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform design decisions.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering documents and specifications for transportation projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
- Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering and roadway design.
- Proficient in civil design software such as MicroStation and traffic modeling software like Synchro and Highway Capacity Software.
- Familiarity with IDOT regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with Phase I and Phase II design phases, as well as roadway construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
