Plumbing Manager
Duane Blanton Plumbing, Sewer, Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Plumbing Manager to lead our plumbing operations and drive our team to new levels of excellence.
Position Overview:
The Residential Plumbing Manager will oversee all personnel and activity of the plumbing department. This role includes implementing strategies to achieve departmental goals, managing scheduling and supervision of technicians, and ensuring top-quality customer service. Collaboration across departments is critical to delivering efficient, safe, and exceptional plumbing services to our clients.
Position Entails:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of plumbers and apprentices.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training to ensure technical proficiency and safety compliance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
Operations:
- Oversee daily operations, job scheduling, and dispatching.
- Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
- Monitor field performance and align scheduling and inventory needs with office staff.
Customer Service:
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting technicians and handling escalated concerns.
- Promote a service-first mindset within the team.
- Ensure prompt, professional communication with clients.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Review technician reports and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, licensing requirements, and local codes.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment.
- Stay current with industry standards, technology, and best practices.
What Does It Take?
- 5+ years' experience in a management or supervisory role (within residential plumbing or residential home service industry preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, service, and installation.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen and experience monitoring department performance.
- Familiarity with field service software (ServiceTitan preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with clean record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
