Pay Rate: $40/hour

Contract Length: January - May (Approx. 20 weeks)

Hours: 32.5 hours/week

About the Role

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, collecting standardized assessment data, and maintaining documentation for students in grades 1-3.

Minimum Requirements

• Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Illinois

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• One (1) year of experience as a COTA (preferred)

• Pediatric or school-based experience (preferred)

• CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

• Current health certificate (per state/contract regulations)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Details

• Caseload: Approximately 30 students

• Age Group: Elementary (Grades 1-3)

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Orientation: Paid
