An educational program in Bourbonnais, IL is seeking Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based positions supporting students in elementary and upper elementary grade levels. These roles include both co-teaching and direct instruction settings , with small caseloads and a collaborative environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: Weekdays

• Hours: 35 hours per week

• Contract Length: 39 weeks

Assignment Overview

• One co-teaching position serving upper elementary students (around 6th grade)

• Small caseload of approximately 10-12 students

• Focus on supporting students with SLD and OHI

• Two direct instruction positions serving early elementary students (K-3)

• Small caseload of approximately 10 students

• Supporting a variety of needs including OHI, autism, SLD, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs

• Collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching environments

• Deliver direct instruction in self-contained or support settings

• Support academic, behavioral, and functional skill development

• Track student progress and maintain compliance documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration

Requirements

• Active Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• School-based experience preferred

• Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Compensation

• $45 per hour (local)
