Salary:

The Aircraft Inspectoris responsible for inspecting maintenance work and ensuring airworthiness compliance of articles serviced or repaired at the Repair Station. Reporting to the Chief Inspector, this role plays a critical part in maintaining FAA regulatory compliance and high-quality workmanship. In the event of absence, duties fall under the Chief Inspector. The inspector may be assigned Designated Inspector (DI) or Required Inspection Item (RII) responsibilities based on qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections throughout maintenance processes and on inbound materials used in repairs.
• Verify work is performed in compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station Manual procedures, and manufacturer instructions.
• Inspect aircraft, engines, and components for airworthiness, damage, and conformity to specifications.
• Document findings using proper maintenance forms, work orders, and inspection records.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145), inspection methods, techniques, and tools.
• Ensure familiarity with applicable standards per 145.155 and 145.211(c)(1)(iv).
• Maintain proficiency in methods, techniques, and practices through documented OJT or previous training.
• Ensure the proper handling, identification, and traceability of all inspected parts and components.
• Perform DI or RII inspections as assigned and authorized.
• Execute additional duties assigned by the Chief Inspector.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, held for at least three (3) years, ORhold a Repairman Certificate and have maintained one at certificated Repair Stations for at least three (3) years.
• Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experienceon large aircraft (10+ passenger seats) with an air carrier or certificated Repair Station.
• At least one (1) year of experienceas a maintenance inspector.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, and regulatory requirements.

Note: An exemption for experience requirements may be granted in writing by the President, provided all requirements under FAR Parts 65.83 and 145.153 are satisfied.
Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Prior experience performing DI and/or RII inspections.
• Familiarity with aircraft technical data, including manuals, ADs, and service bulletins.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and quality mindset.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and FAA regulations.
