Logistics Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Logistics Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support related to logistics operations, including order tracking, delivery coordination, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a working knowledge of supply chain or transportation processes.

Location: West Chicago, IL

Schedule: Monday-Friday - 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay rate: $19-$20/hr

Duties:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding logistics and shipping inquiries.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays, issues, or changes to delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments (warehouse, transportation, sales, etc.) to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.
• Process orders, returns, and shipping documents accurately in the system.
• Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and shipment status.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, billing, or product returns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to customer satisfaction and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, logistics, or a supply chain environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
