Full time Optometrist- Optometrist position in Chicago, IL

Optometrist (OD)

This family owned organization is currently looking for a full time Optometrist to travel to assisted living facilities in the Chicago area 3 weeks out of the month and central Illinois for 1 week a month. They do not just push glasses sales - you will be diagnosing, treating, and co-managing ocular disease and vision disorders. Excellent compensation and work/life balance with no evenings or weekends. Travel time is based on your proximity to the communities they serve; some days your commute could be 10 minutes, and others about 1 hour. You get to head home after your last exam is completed, so it's up to you and how quickly you work. Many of their ODs are finished by 1 or 2 p.m. each day.

Your responsibilities:

Must be comfortable with diagnosing and treating ocular pathology
See an avg. of 25 patients per day
Treat your patients with respect and care
Must be willing to travel to facilities

Compensation and benefits:

Paid per comprehensive exam (easy $600+ per day before bonuses)
Base plus bonus = Earning potential over $175,000+
