What Is Expected Of YOU

  • Maintain uniform inventory within the Uniform Inventory Software System, accurately recording all issuance, returns, and disposals.
  • Perform sewing and alterations using commercial equipment, including industrial sewing machines, overlock machines, blind stitch machines, steam irons, scissors, and seam rippers.
  • Receive and inventory all incoming wardrobe items.
  • Ensure proper distribution of wardrobe items to team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the wardrobe shop, work areas, machines, tools, supplies, and equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
  • Conduct uniform fittings and perform alterations, including hemming pants, replacing buttons, seam repairs, and fit adjustments.
  • Replenish inventory to established par levels; submit requisitions for uniform replenishment in the wardrobe database and follow up on purchase order deliveries.
  • Ensure wardrobe supplies are adequately stocked at all times.
  • Compile, complete, and submit required reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Coordinate and facilitate dry cleaning of garments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including issuance receipts, return documentation, and records of donated or destroyed wardrobe items in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate payroll deductions related to additional or replacement uniform purchases.
  • Deliver and pick up wardrobe items as needed.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, maintaining a clean work environment free of hazards, debris, and litter.

Experience YOU Will Need

  • High school diploma or GED certification preferred
  • Previous experience operating industrial sewing equipment, including sewing machines, overlock machines, blind stitch machines, steam irons, steamers, scissors, and seam rippers, is required.
  • Experience with heat seal equipment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating various sewing machines such as Blindstich, serger, and high-speed single needle straight lockstitch industrial models, as well as familiarity with embroidery machine software, commercial garment steamers, and sublimation printers, is essential.
  • The role requires a strong commitment to achieving both departmental and individual productivity goals through precise alterations.
  • Candidates must be skilled in using tape measures, tailor's chalk, and pins to assess garment fittings accurately, and should have experience entering measurements and adjustments into digital garment tracking systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and job-specific software is also necessary, demonstrating effective digital tool navigation and organizational abilities

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent walking throughout the workday.
  • Regular use of hands for handling, measuring, sewing, and operating equipment.
  • Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
