Farmer’s Fridge makes fruits and vegetables accessible and approachable for everyone. We offer a variety of fresh, healthy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks through our fresh food vending machines, wholesale partners, and our office pantry solution — providing chef-curated meals to customers within seconds. Today, we operate a network of Fridges and partner with clients nationwide in high-foot-traffic areas, such as airports, hospitals, universities, and large office buildings — where there is limited accessibility to fresh, healthy, grab-n-go options.

About this Role: The General Manager, Distribution is responsible for leading and scaling day-to-day operations across a 150+ person distributed field team, including drivers, supervisors, and market managers. This role ensures high quality execution, operational excellence, and a consistent delivery experience across markets. The GM will own key areas such as workforce performance, real estate and hub operations, and network design, while driving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do…

• Team Leadership & Performance
  • Lead and manage a distributed field team of drivers, supervisors, and market managers across multiple geographies
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, training, and retention strategies to ensure staffing meets operational demands
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and productivity standards for all field teams
  • Manage daily escalations, safety issues, and incident resolution across the network
  • Ensure employee and food safety in accordance with our HR and QFSR policies
• Delivery Operations & Experience
  • Own the full delivery experience, ensuring consistent service quality, reliability, and timing
  • Implement best practices for route execution, driver scheduling, and issue resolution workflows
  • Drive accountability for service level adherence and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Ensure high inventory accuracy in fridges, with correct items delivered and stocked
• Hub & Real Estate Management
  • Oversee the management and performance of operational hubs and real estate assets
  • Ensure hubs are staffed, clean, safe, and operating efficiently to support local market needs
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with central operations, logistics, revenue management, sales and finance to align on priorities
  • Serve as the voice of the field in company-wide decision-making and strategy development
• Financial Oversight & Operational Efficiency
  • Oversee financial performance across field operations, including labor and facility costs
  • Drive initiatives to improve profitability while maintaining service and operational excellence
  • Support revenue growth through operational enablement and continuous improvement

Who You Are…

• 7-10+ years of experience in field operations, logistics, transportation, or a similar environment.
• Proven experience managing large, distributed frontline teams.
• Strong operational problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, and performance management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Experience in a high-growth, rapid-change environment. You have the ability to operate in ambiguous situations and be flexible with the demands of the organization.

The base salary range for this role is $185,000 - $195,000 . The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for company performance-based bonuses and equity.
