The Practice Assistant plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a busy outpatient clinical setting. This position is based in the Rosemont area and is ideal for a dependable, patient-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Practice Assistant helps maintain efficient office operations, safeguards patient information, and supports both patients and providers with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

-Support providers in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients

-Assist with the daily operations of a fast-paced medical practice
Maintain patient confidentiality by accurately completing, handling, and safeguarding -medical records

-Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures to protect patients and the organization

-Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information using established policies and reference tools

-Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

-Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist during crisis situations as needed

-Understand and follow all clinic policies, procedures, and best practices

-Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

-Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, behavioral health, or healthcare setting (preferred)
-Experience supporting patients experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns (preferred)
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

-Excellent computer and administrative skills

-Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in a healthcare environment

-Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
-Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting (preferred)
