Job Title: Off Shift Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician Technician to join our team on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The ideal candidate will work on electrical maintenance and capital projects efficiently to meet budget and time constraints. Responsibilities include ensuring the optimal performance of electronic controls for seamer performance and thermal processing calibration, coordinating electrical parts and supplies at the distribution center, and providing key input to management and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Work on electrical maintenance and capital projects as directed by management.
  • Ensure annual requirements of electronic controls for seamer performance and thermal processing calibration are met.
  • Coordinate with supervision and management to maintain electrical parts and supplies.
  • Provide input to management and supervision regarding plant electrical maintenance needs for both short-term and long-term applications.
  • Identify training and development needs for electrical staff to improve skills in electricity, circuitry, power distribution, and PLC systems troubleshooting.
  • Continuously develop self and assist in developing electrical staff in programming, applications, and operation of PLC systems.
  • Support the electrical/PLC information level of maintenance crews in all departments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience and knowledge in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot panels, VFDs, and power sources.
  • Proficiency in re-wiring and understanding electrical schematics.
  • Experience in PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • 5-7+ years of Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Sound background in solid state circuitry and devices.
  • Knowledge of high voltage D.C. rectifier and control circuits.

Work Environment

Work shifts include 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, with potential overtime mostly post-shift, totaling around 50 hours a week. The work environment requires wearing steel-toed shoes/boots, ear plugs, and a hard helmet, all supplied by the employer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.98/hr.
