Class A Local Truck Driver

Beast Mode Truckin seeks experienced Class A drivers for a local intermodal account based in Chicago, IL. This is a 100% no-touch, drop-and-hook position with predictable nightly runs and daily home time. Job details

• Freight: 100% no-touch intermodal trailers (majority drop-and-hook)
• Operating area: Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana
• Schedule: Night shift with ~19:00 start; 5-day work week with two days off; operation runs seven days per week (weekend work required)
• Typical mileage: Approximately 1,800 miles per week
• Home time: Daily

Compensation and benefits

• Estimated weekly earnings: $1,200–$1,400 (varies by miles and stops)
• Base pay: $0.62 per mile
• Night differential: $0.06 per mile
• Weekend differential: $0.12 per mile
• $20 per loaded dispatch
• Comprehensive benefits after 30 days, including medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off

Minimum qualifications

• Age 21 or older with a valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months recent CDL driving experience
• Fairly clean driving record: no major accidents, major tickets, or suspensions within the past 5 years; no DUIs in the last 5 years
• Not terminated from most recent employment
• Felonies or misdemeanors within the last 5 years will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Consistent work history: generally a solid 10-year work history with no major gaps outside of school or training (minimum 6 months employment in the last year and at least 1 year in the last 3 years)
• Ability to pass pre-employment urine and hair drug screens
• Residence within 25 miles of Chicago, IL
