Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring ICU and extensive cardiac experience with the ability to float across multiple units.

Details

• Float Pool assignment covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Floating required across multiple units and departments as needed

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• ICU experience required
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
