Human Resources & Compliance Specialist
LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a rapidly growing global construction firm. Due to growth, they are seeking a Human Resources & Compliance Specialist to join their team! This firm brings over 30 years of industry expertise and are known for executing complex and mission-critical construction work on time and to high quality standards.
The Human Resources & Compliance Specialist will provide comprehensive support in HR operations, payroll administration, and contract/legal documentation. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, precision, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Human Resources & Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing, including time and attendance tracking, data verification, and benefits-related deductions
Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee files, records, and HR documentation
Support recruiting efforts by posting open roles, coordinating candidate screenings, and scheduling interviews
Facilitate pre-employment requirements such as background checks and onboarding compliance
Coordinate onboarding and separation processes to ensure a smooth employee experience
Support compliance with internal policies and applicable federal and state employment laws
Provide administrative and operational support to the HR function as needed
Draft, edit, proofread, and format contracts and other legal or business documents with accuracy and professionalism
Organize and maintain contract and case documentation in both electronic and hard-copy systems
Monitor deadlines related to contracts, renewals, and legal matters and communicate upcoming milestones
Support the preparation, review, tracking, and management of agreements with employees, vendors, and subcontractors
Maintain contract databases and ensure timely updates related to renewals, amendments, and expirations
Human Resources & Compliance Specialist Requirements:
- BA preferred
- 4+ years of human resources experience, ideally in construction or similiar industry
- Payroll administration experience required
- Experience coordinating and proofreading contracts
- Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and/or contract management tools; Viewpoint experience strongly preferred
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to proofread and format documents accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
