This position is a full-time 12-month appointment open rank faculty position commensurate with qualifications and experience, beginning fall 2026.
Position Purpose:
As the Clinical & Credential Coordinator/Faculty, you will be responsible for coordinating student clinical placements, managing credentialing and compliance requirements, and contributing to nursing education through teaching, student support, and curriculum involvement. This role ensures students are clinical prepared, compliant with regulatory standards, and academically supported throughout the program. This dual-role, full-time, 12-month appointment open rank faculty position commensurate with qualifications and experience, beginning fall 2026.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and schedule clinical placements and preceptorships for nursing students.
· Develop and maintain relationships with all healthcare partners, including hospitals and clinical agencies. May require local travel to clinical partner sites.
· Ensure adequate clinical capacity aligned with enrollment and program needs.
· Communicate clinical schedules, expectations and updates to student and faculty.
· Conduct site evaluations and maintain quality of clinical learning environments.
· Track and verify all student requirements, including immunizations and health records, background checks and drug screens, CPR/BLS certification, and required onboarding documentation for clinical sites.
· Ensure compliance with the IL State BON, ACEN accreditation standards, and clinical partner polices.
· Maintain credentialing systems (e.g. Complio, CastleBranch, or equivalent).
· Monitor deadlines, notify students of deficiencies, and enforce compliance policies.
· Teach didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and technology-enhanced learning platforms, such as Populi.
· Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical settings.
· Provide academic advising and mentoring to nursing students.
· Participate in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation.
· Ensure course content aligns with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations.
· Participate in curriculum planning, revision, and evaluation.
· Stay current with trends in simulation pedagogy, nursing education, and healthcare technology that promotes student learning and growth.
· Actively support the department, including participation in department and College committees.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
· Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Illinois.
· Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in nursing education.
· Experience with clinical placement, compliance, credentialing, and using platforms.
· Experience and knowledge in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
· This position offers a budgeted salary range of $75,000 to $90,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market pay for comparable positions,
