Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Itasca, Illinois

Assignment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Process daily cash receipts, ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card payments accurately and timely
• Apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts and reconcile unapplied cash
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances through B2B collections
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, deductions, and chargebacks
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices and account statements
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and maintain accurate customer account records
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account activity
• Assist with month-end close by preparing AR reconciliations, aging reports, and journal entry support
• Maintain organized AR documentation for audit purposes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 3–5 years of accounts receivable, cash application, or general accounting experience
• Experience with B2B collections and payment reconciliation preferred
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
