Position Title: Technician Assistant
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager

Role Summary
The RV Repair Technician Assistant supports the body and paint technicians as well as the service technicians by preparing vehicles, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with basic repair and paint preparation tasks. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who want to learn the RV repair trade through hands-on experience and on-the-job training.
This role plays a critical part in improving shop efficiency by ensuring technicians can maintain focus on skilled work.
Key Responsibilities
-Vehicle Preparation & Disassembly
-Assist with disassembly of RV components including trim, panels, fixtures, and accessories
-Label and organize removed parts to ensure accurate reassembly
-Support technicians with basic tear-down tasks prior to repair work
-Paint Preparation; Sand, mask, and prep surfaces for painting
-Clean and prepare RV exteriors and components before paint application
-Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Shop & Work Area Maintenance
-Keep bays, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe
-Maintain cleanliness during and after each job
-Assist in maintaining shop organization, including tool storage and workspace setup
Parts & Job Support
-Assist with organizing parts for upcoming jobs
-Support staging of vehicles that are ready for repair or paint
-Help ensure jobs are fully prepared before technicians begin work
Vehicle Movement
-Move RVs and vehicles safely around the lot and into service bays (as trained)
-Assist with positioning units for repair and paint work
Qualifications
-No prior RV or automotive experience required — eagerness to learn is essential
-Strong work ethic and positive attitude
-Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
-Basic mechanical aptitude preferred but not required
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical environment
-Valid driver's license preferred
