Business Operations Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the NSI Portfolio Manager in coordinating and managing a portfolio of 100+ active projects
• Track and maintain project status, ensuring visibility into timelines, risks, and progress toward on-time completion
• Assist with preparation of materials for portfolio reviews, including reporting and presentations
• Maintain and archive project documentation, including design and gate review records, for future reference
• Perform data mining, extraction, and analysis using tools such as Excel and Power BI to support decision-making
• Manage and organize project data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the portfolio
• Support data-driven insights and reporting to help identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the project portfolio

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 0-2 years’ of experience
• Degrees considered: Business Management, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Technology (Mechanical, Industrial), Technical Communications or relevant technical field required

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• MS Office suite of tools
• Ability to use Power BI to generate reports
• Engineering or technical experience preferred
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment collaboratively and independently
• Ability to work effectively within defined processes
• Highly organized and able to work independently
• Able to communicate detailed information in a concise manner including executive summaries
