About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Current RN licensure Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; experience with telemetry monitoring Description: Join a dedicated medical/surgical team in a 16-bed unit. You will provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population. The unit maintains a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. This ensures high-quality, personalized care in a supportive environment. Key responsibilities include delivering compassionate nursing care to patients with various medical conditions. Conditions may include respiratory issues, cellulitis, and congestive heart failure, as well as surgical cases. Monitor patients using telemetry; RNs are responsible for interpreting their own strips. Collaborate with a small team, including a clinical care coordinator and charge nurse. The charge nurse actively takes patient assignments. A house supervisor supports the team on weekends. Assist in outpatient infusions as needed. Experience in this area is preferred. Candidates should be team-oriented. A strong focus on thorough charting is essential. We are committed to quality care and maintaining lower patient ratios.
