Production Lead - Wooridge, IL

Location: Woodridge, IL

Schedule: 5:30AM-2PM

Pay rate: $20/hour (Temp-to-hire, pay increase to $25/hour)

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Lead to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced food production environment in Woodridge, IL. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are consistently met while helping coordinate team activities and support production flow. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and able to lead by example while working closely with associates and supervisors to meet daily goals and production targets.

Duties:

• Ensure assigned work area is safe, clean, and compliant with all safety, quality, and GMP standards, and promptly escalate any hazards to supervision.
• Operate and support production equipment including press machines, dough extruders, ovens, belts, and auxiliary systems, including startup, shutdown, and setup/breakdown.
• Monitor production processes, ingredient levels, and batch/material documentation to ensure accurate records, continuous flow, and on-time production output.
• Coordinate and support production team activities, including assigning tasks, monitoring breaks, and assisting with training, coaching, and daily performance goals.
• Assist with material handling and line operations such as die changes, pallet movement using hand jacks, and general production duties to maintain efficiency and meet production targets

Requirements:

• Must follow all GMP and PPE requirements in a food manufacturing environment, including wearing non-slip safety shoes at all times.
• Ability to safely learn and operate production equipment such as electrical pallet jacks, dough presses, hand jacks, utility knives, scales, and other auxiliary tools.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and performing physically demanding tasks in varying conditions (wet, hot, or cold).
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills required, including ability to interact across all levels of the organization; bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and production technology such as printers, scanners, and related tracking tools, while consistently following all safety rules without exception.
