Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Firewall Infrastructure Engineer for the Service Request Fulfillment organization at a large financial institution. This ideal candidate will facilitate deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks, and automation used during implementation. The areas of focus for the Firewall Infrastructure role include design, engineering, and implementation of firewall service requests aligned to the delivery of infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interfacing directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/providers, architecture, product engineering, product management, and business management. This candidate is required to come on-site 3 days a week in Chicago, IL or Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in translating business requirements into technical designs for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies to ensure successful implementation into production

• Act as a consultant on network technologies where they are a subject matter expert

• Manage Service Request Fulfillment queue, including successful completion of requests and maintaining data quality standards

• Collaborate and communicate with internal/external stakeholders

• Facilitate and represent requests through Enterprise Change Management processes

• Contribute to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provide feedback to the architecture teams

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years experience working as a Firewall Engineer

• Experience with Fortinet firewalls

• Experience working in an enterprise level environment communicating with high level stakeholders

• Experience working with ITIL concepts and strong understanding of agile service and project management processes - Certifications in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or Fortinet NSE (1-8), Checkpoint CCTA, CCTE, CCSA, or CCSE

• Experience with other network technologies including Splunk, ECSL, WAN, MAN, LAN, Optical, Routing, Switching, Proxy/Threat Prevention, DDI, Load Balancing, and AAA

• Financial services background within insurance banking or investment banking
