Retail Ecommerce Associate / Marketplace Associate

Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $25–$26 per hour (W2)

Position Overview

A leading retail organization is seeking a Retail Ecommerce Associate / Marketplace Associate to support digital merchandising and marketplace operations.

This role is responsible for creating and enhancing web content to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion , while collaborating with brand vendors to improve product presentation across the online marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and enhance website content to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.

• Collaborate with brand vendors to gather product-related assets, including:

  • Images

  • Videos

  • Product descriptions

  • Technical specifications

  • Product attributes

• Manage product listings lifecycle , including:

  • Product setup (launch)

  • Updates and enhancements

  • Product takedown (deactivation)

• Support marketplace operations for both:

  • New marketplace brands

  • Existing marketplace brands

• Work within marketplace platforms (e.g., Mirakl) and internal systems to manage product content.

• Ensure all content meets site standards, quality guidelines, and brand consistency .

• Optimize product presentation to improve site performance and user experience .

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or marketplace operations .

• Strong understanding of product content management and online retail platforms .

• Ability to manage and organize large volumes of product data and assets .

• Excellent attention to detail and content quality.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams .

• Familiarity with tools/platforms such as Mirakl or similar marketplace systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a retail or eCommerce environment .

• Understanding of SEO and conversion optimization best practices .

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) or product information management tools.
