Role Overview The role will be within our subsidiary Optimity, a fast-growing value-added managed service provider with a strong history in the ISP market. This role focuses on a large list of unmanaged accounts and the Account Manager will be responsible for introducing these clients to the wider range of products we offer to grow market share. The role may involve some new business activity, supported by internal lead generation and marketing. Knowledge of selling infrastructure and data protection technologies is desirable, with familiarity of vendors such as Dell, Lenovo, Redstor, Veeam and Microsoft advantageous. This position is based primarily in our London HQ. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple clients concurrently within defined timeframes to achieve business goals. Discovery and creation of quotes and proposals through phone, email, and meetings. Build and maintain continuous business relationships through regular contact. Ensure client needs are met through timely delivery of Optimity’s solutions. Forecasting and account tracking using CRM tools. Coordinate with internal staff to ensure consistent service on assigned accounts. Renegotiate existing contracts and renewals to maintain business. Develop and measure personal business goals and ensure they are met. Generate net new sales within core specialism; manage vendor relationships. Drive marketing initiatives within own areas and collaborate with IAMs on upsell and cross-sell of products. Act as lead tech advisor for specific products; participate in quotes and proposals generation. Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns to support new business activity. This list is illustrative; tasks may evolve with the needs of the company. The Right Candidate 2 years' experience as an Account Manager selling ICT-related products and services. Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build rapport and maintain customer relationships. Initiative, flexibility and creativity to solve problems; able to meet deadlines and hit monthly sales targets. 2+ years of technology industry knowledge or the ability to learn quickly. Excellent time management and organisation skills; ability to prioritise obligations. Previous experience in Account Management; a strong team player.
