Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide skilled care in the operating room setting. This contract position is ideal for a dedicated RN with a strong understanding of perioperative practices and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. The role involves working day shifts, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call responsibilities during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Proven experience in an operating room environment
• Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Proficient in circulating and scrubbing roles, as needed
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement nursing care for surgical patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to fulfill rotating on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure equipment and instruments are sterile and set up correctly
• Collaborate with surgical team members to promote safety and best surgical practices
• Monitor patients’ condition before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided throughout the perioperative period
• Respond effectively to emergencies and advocate for patient needs
• Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
