Title: Deductions Specialist
Location: Hybrid (Naperville, IL – 1 day on-site)
Employment Type: Open-ended contract (initial 6 months with potential for extension)
Compensation: Up to $30/hour

As a Deductions Specialist, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy by managing and resolving customer deductions tied to pricing, promotions, freight, and returns. You’ll work cross-functionally to investigate issues, identify trends, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce recurring discrepancies.

This position is perfect for an analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong SAP and Excel skills who thrive on problem-solving and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve customer deductions related to pricing, promotions, freight, and returns while ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
• Maintain and manage detailed trackers of deduction statuses, approvals, and resolutions for accurate, transparent reporting.
• Identify deduction trends and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce future discrepancies.
• Issue chargebacks when appropriate to recover funds and uphold financial integrity.
• Support month-end processes through accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of deduction activities.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2+ years of experience managing customer deductions in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Advanced systems and software proficiency:
  • Proficient in SAP (required) and Trade Promotion Management (TPM) or similar systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, nested formulas) with the ability to manage large datasets and perform complex reconciliations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement efficient solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
