OVERVIEW
The Director, Corporate Banking â Insurance Sector is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex client relationships while leading the origination, structuring, and execution of corporate banking transactions. This role combines relationship management, credit underwriting, and deal execution with a focus on delivering tailored financial solutions to clients within the insurance industry.
This position operates as a senior member of a broader capital markets platform, partnering cross-functionally to deliver integrated financial solutions and drive revenue growth while maintaining strong risk management practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients within the insurance sector across multiple geographies.
- Originate, structure, and execute lending and financing transactions aligned with client needs and organizational objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and due diligence, including financial modeling, industry research, and risk assessment.
- Structure and negotiate complex financial transactions while balancing risk and return considerations.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and deliver integrated financial solutions in partnership with internal product teams.
- Develop and deliver client presentations, including pitch materials and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Monitor market conditions, regulatory developments, and industry trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present credit documentation for internal approval processes.
- Lead or contribute to deal teams to drive execution and client outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, or financial services
- Demonstrated experience covering the insurance sector
- Proven track record in structuring and executing lending transactions
- Experience managing client portfolios and driving business development initiatives
Education
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced certification preferred
