Tatum Consulting has a project for an Interim CFO with a elite global leadership advisory and data analytics firm. This company has $150M+ in annual revenue with a fully remote global team of 200 people FTE(s). The PE firm requires an Interim CFO to step into the role and take full ownership. The need is for an operational CFO to rebuild the Finance and Accounting function and scale the business.

The objective of this project is to act as an operational leader to rebuild the Finance and Accounting function, stand up an FP&A framework, and scale the business. The Interim CFO will be considered for the permanent role.

responsibilities:
To be successful, the consultant as acting Interim CFO must be prepared to execute the following:

• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, CPO, GC, and Partners utilizing a Servant Leadership mindset to support the business.
• Lead the existing finance team , which consists of a Controller, two Senior Accountants, seven transactional accounting personnel, and a Business Process Lead (handling Salesforce and ERP).
• Rebuild the Finance and Accounting function by implementing documented processes and procedures, conducting a team assessment/potential upgrade, and enforcing stronger internal controls .
• Establish the FP&A function from scratch , requiring individual hands-on contributions to start , including managing the budget, forecasts, working capital, building consensus on KPIs, and creating reliable dashboard reporting.
• Lead external audit readiness to successfully navigate the firm's transition of auditors.
• Collaborate closely with external Consultants on highly technical Revenue Recognition and Tax projects .
• Partner directly with IT to actively participate in the implementation of Workday .
• Administer debt and covenant compliance as required.

qualifications:

• Must Have CFO 10+ years experience in preferred and 5+ years with Private Equity is Required.
• Must have a proven track record building scalable Finance & Accounting functions in First Institutional Investments for similar-sized companies, alongside Professional Services industry experience .
• CPA with Public Accounting Experience ; must be completely current on GAAP.
• Accounting & ERP Systems: Oversight of Workday implementation (Workday experience is a big plus), general ERP implementation experience, and must be an advanced Excel user.
• Additional Systems knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
