Position Summary

The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct (per-course) faculty position.

We are looking for instructors interested in teaching any of the following courses on an on-going or per-semester basis:

• Thermodynamics
• Engineering methods (Solidworks design and 3D printers)
• Manufacturing process (CNC machine, casting, laser cutter, etc.)
• Mechanical simulation (Solidworks)
• Robotics (Matlab)

Candidates with a master's degree or significant industry experience in Mechanical Engineering will be considered, and college-level teaching experience is preferred.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $960 - $1040 per credit hour. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
