Bankruptcy & Restructuring Staff Attorney AmLaw 50 Opportunity Compensation$180,000 – $220,000
A leading international law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Staff Attorney to join its Chicago office.
This non-partnership track opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in supporting sophisticated bankruptcy and restructuring matters while working closely with attorneys across a national platform.
Ideal Background• 4–6 years of bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or related experience
• Experience supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions , with a focus on company-side representations
• Experience preparing and managing bankruptcy-related disclosures, court filings, and other case documentation
• Experience representing debtors, official committees, lenders, or other parties in bankruptcy matters preferred
• Experience with distressed M&A transactions and insolvency-related matters is a plus
• Strong legal research and writing skills, including experience preparing client alerts, articles, or other legal publications
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission in good standing required
